Partner Spotlight-Florida Department of Children and Families

The Florida Department of Children and Families works diligently to protect the vulnerable, promote strong and economically self-sufficient families, and advance personal and family recovery and resiliency. DCF proves to be a strong and protective voice for abused, neglected, or otherwise negatively affected children and family members. Two major campaigns the DCF works tirelessly to promote include “Who’s Really Watching Your Child?” and Water Safety. Their “Who’s Really Watching Your Child?” campaign advocates for children’s welfare by bringing together childcare providers and physicians with families in need. Individuals can support a child’s care placement through their local Early Learning Coalition. The Water Safety campaign recognizes that Florida loses more children to water-related incidents than any other state in the nation. DCF’s Water Safety movement focuses on prevention and supervision tools that ensure swim safety.

Other DCF programs include:

•Abuse Hotline

•ACCESS Florida

•Adoption

•Adult Protective Services

•Child Care

•Child Welfare

•Community-Based Care

•Domestic Violence

•Foster Care

•Homelessness

•Mental Health

•Refugee Services
