The Florida Education Foundation is a not for profit corporation whose mission is to lead in educational enhancements statewide. Seeking the improvement of performance of public school students from prekindergarten through 12th grade the Foundation encourages collaboration among parents, business people, community members and Florida public schools. By fostering and developing community and private sector resources the Foundation is able to promote excellence among prek-12 students. Florida Educational foundation has a hand in several statewide initiatives the likes of Sunshine State Scholars and Principle’s Summit (just to name a couple). They have partnered with companies like Wells Fargo and AT&T to serve as fiscal agents for several statewide grants. The Foundation believes excellence should be recognized not only in students but in teachers as well. Being part of the Macy’s Teacher of the Year award allows the top teachers in Florida to be recognized for all their hard work and success with their students.
Children’s Week is ecstatic to partner with the Florida Education Foundation and fully supports their mission in developing and bettering the education of Florida children. For more information on how to get involved, become a partner, or make a donation, visit floridaeducationfoundation.org.
