Each year, Children’s Week Florida™ presents the Lawton and Rhea Chiles Advocate Award to a Floridian who has dedicated their time and energy working as an advocate on behalf of statewide issues affecting the status and well-being of children, youth, and families. This outstanding individual is one who has engaged others to promote policies and/or programs benefiting those most in need.
