The Florida Afterschool Network and the YMCA Youth in Government Program invite high school students across Florida to participate in a unique opportunity to voice their opinions, raise concerns and ask questions about youth programs and issues impacting their lives before a panel of public policy experts from agencies and organizations that impact youth programs and services. This event is free to participate, completely virtual and includes a training program to prepare students for success. Registration deadline: February 20, 2021.​​

February 23 Advocacy 101 This session will answer all of the basics plus share how students can make a difference.
March 9 Research & Questions This session will equip students with the necessary tools to identify, research and craft a question appropriate for the forum.
March 30 Presentation Time This session will guide students through what to expect during the forum and give tips for public speaking.
April 6 Teen Town Hall Live Event Join the live event on Whova (virtual events platform)

Note: Sessions will run virtually on Tuesdays, 3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
