Teen Town Hall

We hope you will join us for the virtual Teen Town Hall and other Children’s Week Florida virtual events (March 15 – April 12).
The Florida Afterschool Network and the YMCA Youth in Government Program invite high school students across Florida to participate in a unique opportunity to voice their opinions, raise concerns and ask questions about youth programs and issues impacting their lives before a panel of public policy experts from agencies and organizations that impact youth programs and services. This event is free to participate, completely virtual and includes a training program to prepare students for success.

Teen Town Hall Schedule

|February 23||Advocacy 101||This session will answer all of the basics plus share how students can make a difference.|
|March 9||Research & Questions||This session will equip students with the necessary tools to identify, research and craft a question appropriate for the forum.|
|March 30||Presentation Time||This session will guide students through what to expect during the forum and give tips for public speaking.|
|April 6||Teen Town Hall Live Event||Join the live event on Whova (virtual events platform)|
