Attendees of all ages, including families, young children, teachers, students, and advocates will gather in the Capitol Courtyard and Rotunda for a variety of interactive events, educational activities, and the sharing of information and resources focused on young children and youth.
Featured Children’s Day events include Storybook Village and Teen Town Hall. Storybook Village brings various children’s tales to life through story time, performances, and music. Thanks to the generous support of our partners and volunteers, this literacy-focused activity has given away thousands of free books to children over the years.
Focused on older youth, Teen Town Hall invites high school students across the state to participate in a unique opportunity to voice their opinions, raise concerns and ask questions about youth programs and issues affecting their lives before a panel of public policy experts from agencies and organizations that affect youth programs and services. More information on these special activities and events coming soon!
